This month’s art video – suggested by Sue Hodgetts
Nicholas Wilton is an American abstract artist, who paints huge geometrical shape-based acrylic and oil paintings. He is the founder of Art2Life and the Creative Visionary Programme and has some great ideas about how to create abstract art.
He relates shape and design to things that happen in life. It’s quite an addictive way of thinking about painting and is always based on the differences that you can create in your art, whether in shape, size, value or colour. The basic principles he teaches are fascinating and help to explain how to improve or fix abstract art in progress.
Here’s a video showing his studio where he produces his huge abstract paintings.
